Happy Birthday, Sholem Aleichem, From Your Most Famous Creation, Tevye

The famous Yiddish writer Solomon Naumovich Rabinovich much better known by his pen name Sholem Aleichem (which means peace be with you) was born  February 18, 1859. His most famous stories about Tevye the milkman were adapted into the musical, “Fiddler on the Roof.” You may have seen the movie, but you haven’t seen Tevya until you’ve seen Zero Mostel play Tevya.
